- Serious contenders will have Grade 12 with Mathematics (External Candidates) / Grade 10 (Internal Candidates only) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Mining underground environment.
Core Accountabilities:
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the causes of Falls of Ground (FOG);
- Demonstrate understanding of the importance of safe and correct barring.
- Demonstrate an understanding of risk assessment concepts and processes;
- Demonstrate an understanding of the identification of and dealing with rock strata conditions;
- Demonstrate knowledge of Symbolic signs;
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the concept of a Ground Control District;
